Basketball Game Preview: DeQuincy Tigers vs. Pickering Red Devils

The DeQuincy Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Pickering Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeQuincy hasn't scored more than 22 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-9, which was the final score in DeQuincy's tilt against Rosepine on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Eagles are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Pickering made easy work of East Beauregard on Friday and carried off a 63-41 win.

Pickering's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-7. As for DeQuincy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

DeQuincy skirted past Pickering 35-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Does DeQuincy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pickering turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
