Recap: Arvada-Clearmont Panthers vs. Meeteetse Longhorns
The Arvada-Clearmont Panthers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Meeteetse out 43-41. For Arvada-Clearmont, this counts as revenge for the 60-41 defeat Meeteetse walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Meeteetse's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camille Anderson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kayla Horsen, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Arvada-Clearmont pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Meeteetse, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Arvada-Clearmont will square off against Riverside at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meeteetse's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sundance at 12:59 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Sundance focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
