After a string of six wins, Lane's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Epic South. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-51 back in December of 2024.

Lane's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Epic South, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Lane will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richmond Hill at 4:00 p.m. on January 28th. Lane is facing Richmond Hill at the right time seeing as Richmond Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Epic South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 111-37 victory against Jamaica on the 18th.
