Baseball Recap: Turlock Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Turlock waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Modesto Panthers as they made off with a 13-0 victory. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Andrew Sevilla made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Turlock got a massive performance out of Cooper Pacheco, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Pacheco a new career-high. Brady Faria was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Turlock's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Modesto, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1.

Turlock will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
