Softball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to the Montwood Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Montwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Plainview will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Eastwood at 2:30 p.m. Eastwood's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Plainview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montwood, they will challenge Tascosa at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Montwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
