Basketball Recap: Scobey/Opheim Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Plentywood

After losing to Plentywood the last time they met, Scobey/Opheim decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Scobey/Opheim Spartans snuck past the Plentywood Wildcats with a 47-41 win on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Wildcats are ranked 14th).

Scobey/Opheim is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Plentywood, they moved to 8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Scobey/Opheim does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plentywood has already played their next game (against Brockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
