Fountain Central entered their tilt with Riverton Parke on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 31-25 W against the Panthers. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Panthers are ranked 280th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fountain Central was led to victory by BELLA BACON and CADENCE WHITE. BACON posted 14 points and six boards, while WHITE scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Fountain Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.

Riverton Parke's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corinne Loomis, who had nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylynn Nelson, who earned eight points and three steals.

Fountain Central's record is now 17-2. As for Riverton Parke, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Coming up, Fountain Central will take on Parke Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverton Parke, they will face off against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
