Volleyball Recap: Harvey Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Richmond Heights last Thursday, Harvey came back down to earth. The Red Raiders fell 3-1 to the Wickliffe Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Harvey ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Haleigh Lewis and Bri Taylor, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Kim Aguayo and her 18 assists. Emily Amador controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wickliffe, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvey will face off against Lutheran East at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wickliffe, they will head out to take on Andrews Osborne Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
