Baseball Recap: Perry Has No Trouble Against Hennessey

Perry barely beat Hennessey the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Maroons were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. Considering the Maroons have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

With the victory, Perry broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-10. As for Hennessey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Perry will welcome Piedmont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hennessey, they will challenge Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
