Volleyball Recap: Minooka Comes Up Short

Minooka lost against Plainfield North back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-18 in the first set.

Minooka started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-10, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Jayce Moore and Connor Latta, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 21 assists. Moore was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Minooka now has a losing record of 17-18. As for Plainfield North, their win bumped their record up to 16-19.

Minooka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Glenbard South on the 24th. As for Plainfield North, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Naperville North on the 26th.
