Softball Recap: Mountain View Drops Season-High Score on Massaponax

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Massaponax Panthers on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Massaponax, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain View will challenge rival Riverbend at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.1, the Bears 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Massaponax is set to face off against their familiar foe Colonial Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
