Soccer Recap: Hinsdale South Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hinsdale South can now relate to. They came up short against the St. Francis Spartans on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hinsdale South of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Brynn Diedrich, who's now up to 38 this season.

The loss snapped Hinsdale South's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-6 record. As for St. Francis, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Hinsdale South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Francis, they will challenge Nazareth Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
