Baseball Recap: Tocoi Creek Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Tocoi Creek extended their postseason success on Thursday against East River. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 on Wednesday.

Not much got past Brayden Harris, who gave up just two hits to keep East River off the board. Harris has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tocoi Creek secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Blake Warner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.

Tocoi Creek's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for East River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-13.

Looking ahead, Tocoi Creek is taking a road trip to challenge Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Toros surely won't give up without a fight. East River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
