Baseball Recap: Havana Find Success

Havana took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hamilton/Warsaw, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ducks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Titans 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Ducks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Caleb McDaniel, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Havana will head out to square off against Macomb at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brown County at 4:30 p.m. The Hornets will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
