Recap: St. Francis Knights vs. Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots
The St. Francis Knights''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 24-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mount Pisgah Christian. St. Francis was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mount Pisgah Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Mack Town rushed for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Delikat was his top target, picking up 124 receiving yards. On the ground, Taurean Rawlins rushed for 35 yards.
St. Francis' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will take on Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully St. Francis likes a good challenge. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Whitefield Academy at 7:30 p.m.
