Volleyball Recap: Thornwell Takes a Loss

After flying high against Calhoun Falls Charter last Thursday, Thornwell came back down to earth. The Saints came up short against the Dixie Hornets on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

While Thornwell was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-10.

Thornwell's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Dixie, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Thornwell will face off against rival Whitmire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dixie is set to take on their familiar foe Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
