Softball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-1 to the Dothan Wolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Dothan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12-1 record this season.

Carroll will head out on the road to take on Houston Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dothan, they will welcome Andalusia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
