Football Recap: Erionna Henry Key Part of Team Effort in Falcons Win

With a playoff win on the line, Dunedin rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-12 victory over the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-0 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunedin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erionna Henry, who rushed for 46 yards and one score, and also threw for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 46 rushing yards gave Henry a new career-high. Samayah Barnes was another key back, rushing for 55 yards and two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Dunedin's defense and their four sacks. Angeline Academy of Innovation's QB won't forget Emmorie Barnes anytime soon given she sacked her twice.

The win made it two in a row for Dunedin and bumps their season record up to 13-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Dunedin will square off against Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spongers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Angeline Academy of Innovation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
