Preview: Far Northeast W Warriors vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors
Far Northeast W has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will challenge the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Far Northeast W had to suffer through a rough 75-34 loss at the hands of Mountain Range. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Far Northeast W in their matchups with Mountain Range: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy really took it to Dawson School for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-27 victory on the road.
Jaz Greenwood was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 20 points, ten rebounds, and 14 steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Carole Tamburino, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Far Northeast W's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Far Northeast W might still be hurting after the 50-25 defeat they got from Eagle Ridge Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Far Northeast W avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
