Trey Scheler Drops League-Best Effort on Saturday
Starting off the list is Cheyenne Wells's Trey Scheler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Scheler rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
The win for Cheyenne Wells keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Scheler and Cheyenne Wells will face off against Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winder Made His Presence Known in Eads' 40-38 Victory
Shaine Winder continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 146 rushing yards. He rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Cheraw had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Winder it was a similar story. Winder rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Wolverines duked it out back in September of 2023.

Maddox Coleman Dazzles in Granada Defeat
Maddox Coleman put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
If the past is any indication, Coleman could be in store for another big game when he takes on Walsh on Friday. Coleman rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in September of 2023.

Walsh was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Hudson Gourley did his best to prevent it. Gourley was dynamite, throwing for 352 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also catching a touchdown.
Walsh is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Gourley and Walsh will face off against Granada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wiley's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Grant Mauch
Grant Mauch helped snap Wiley's 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Mauch turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday, throwing for 125 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 81 yards on only five carries. Those 81 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Wiley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Mauch and Wiley will play host again on Friday to welcome Cheraw, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
