Basketball Recap: Swenson Arts & Tech Lion vs. TECH Freire Charter Dragons
The Swenson Arts & Tech Lion's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged TECH Freire Charter out 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
TECH Freire Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Zymear Hashim and Markel Moran. Hashim scored 26 points, while Moran scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hashim has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Omar Leach, who scored nine points.
Swenson Arts & Tech's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for TECH Freire Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season.

As for TECH Freire Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Dragons at 3:15 p.m. Freire Charter School Wilmington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Dragons in their respective states (the Dragons are ranked 60th in Delaware, while the Dragons are ranked 397th in Pennsylvania).
