Softball Recap: Lassen Continues Home Dominance on Friday

While Lassen's victory against Colusa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the RedHawks 7-5. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the RedHawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Patty Carvalho was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Law, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Lassen's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Colusa, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.

Lassen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-6 defeat against Shasta on the 25th. As for Colusa, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Chico on the 25th.
