Basketball Recap: Polk County Christian's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Polk County Christian proved they can win big back in December of 2024 (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows, sneaking past 49-47. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Arrows back in December of 2024, they had to take a 62-47 loss.

Despite the loss, Aurora Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Sawyer Jones, who posted 23 points and seven steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Haynes, who had 12 points and three steals.
