Basketball Game Preview: Central Falcons vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede

Central hasn't had much luck against Paul W. Bryant recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Central Falcons will host the Paul W. Bryant Stampede at 7:30 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-28, which was the final score in Central's tilt against Northridge on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Jaguars are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paul W. Bryant, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Brookwood 71-38. The Stampede have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Paul W. Bryant pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
