Football Recap: Puyallup Skates Past Evergreen with Ease + How To Watch

Puyallup won the last time they faced Evergreen and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings claimed a resounding 48-14 victory over the Plainsmen. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Vikings had established a 24-point advantage.

Luke Parker had a dynamite game, throwing for 316 yards and two touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 40 yards. A healthy portion of Parker's aerial production (102 yards to be exact) went to Jayden Woodland, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Puyallup's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Puyallup has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.5 points this season. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Puyallup will take on Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Evergreen, they will challenge North Thurston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
