Baseball Recap: Lowville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Saturday just wasn't the day for Lowville's offense. They fell 4-0 to the South Jefferson Spartans on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Red Raiders' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Dominic Sweirnik put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Lowville's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for South Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Lowville nor South Jefferson have any future games scheduled.
