Basketball Recap: Lakeside Skates Past Clark Fork with Ease

Lakeside won the last time they faced Clark Fork and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lakeside Knights breezed by the Clark Fork Wampus Cats to the tune of 80-37. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Lakeside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Charley out in front who shot 6-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. Charley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Hallah Peone was another key player, going 8 for 11 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Lakeside was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clark Fork only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Clark Fork still got an impressive performance from Owen Howard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 48.6% of Clark Fork's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Westin Caven, who scored seven points.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Clark Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Lakeside will venture away from home to challenge Timberlake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timberlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Clark Fork, they will be playing at home against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
