Baseball Recap: Jackson Academy Comes Up Short

Jackson Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.93 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Jackson Prep Patriots. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Jackson Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Dockins, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Jackson Academy's record now sits at 17-11. As for Jackson Prep, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-12-1.

While Jackson Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
