Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wade Hampton). They came out on top against the Boiling Springs Bulldogs on Monday by a score of 8-7 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Generals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Blake Davis was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Peyton Stokes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Wade Hampton's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Boiling Springs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.
