Volleyball Recap: Easton Area Takes a Loss

Easton Area lost against Freedom back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rovers lost 3-0 to the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rovers have suffered against the Patriots since October 10, 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-19.

Tessa Lezama paced Easton Area's offense, picking up four kills. Lezama got some help from Isabela Kulczycki and her 11 assists. Elena Koonce controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Freedom can attribute much of their success to Sara Kokolus, who had six aces, five digs, and one block. What's more, Kokolus posted four kills, the most she's had over her last 15 contests.

Easton Area has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-2 record this season. As for Freedom, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5-2.

Easton Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Liberty on the 1st. As for Freedom, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northampton on the 1st.
