The Southwestern Rebels will head out to face off against the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Southwestern was handed a 15-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jac-Cen-Del, sneaking past 9-8. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Chloey Leach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and seven unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nataley Morrison was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Crawford, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Southwestern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Jac-Cen-Del's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Southwestern, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-4.
