Mumford waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Florence Buffaloes.

Leading Mumford to victory were Ashlen Sloan and Nancy Galvan. Sloan hit 100% for seven kills and ten digs and two aces, while Galvan had 23 digs and one assist. Those seven kills gave Sloan a new career-high.

Mumford now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Florence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Mumford is on the road again on Saturday to play Silsbee at 11:00 a.m. As for Florence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
