Almont waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers an 8-0 shutout. Considering Almont have won 13 games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Almont pushed their record up to 13-4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those eight contests.
