Burleson dropped their record down to 21-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins at home. They lost 16-4 to the Joshua Owls. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Elks, who until this contest were averaging 3.22 runs allowed.

Addy Sellers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Kaydan Dorman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
