Softball Recap: Belle Chasse Beats A.J. Ellender for Their Second Straight Victory

Belle Chasse barely beat A.J. Ellender the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Cardinals have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Belle Chasse and bumps their season record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for A.J. Ellender, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Belle Chasse will face off against South Plaquemines at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.17 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for A.J. Ellender, they will be playing at home against Covenant Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
