Basketball Game Preview: Warren Central Vikings vs. Neshoba Central Rockets

The Warren Central Vikings will head out to square off against the Neshoba Central Rockets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Warren Central has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Neshoba Central will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Saturday, Warren Central came up short against Columbus and fell 64-52. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Falcons are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Neshoba Central posted their closest victory since November 11, 2023 on Friday. They skirted past Warren Central 54-52.

Warren Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Neshoba Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Warren Central couldn't quite finish off Neshoba Central when the teams last played on Friday and fell 54-52. Can Warren Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
