Basketball Recap: Peddie Comes Up Short

Peddie lost against Hun back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Peddie Falcons were beaten by the Hun Raiders 77-36. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-10.

Gabby D'Agostino was her usual excellent self, as she made all 7 shots she took from beyond the arc for 24 points in addition to seven boards and five assists for Hun. The match was D'Agostino's sixth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was CeeJay Thomas, who went 6-for-9 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Peddie dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hun, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Peddie will be playing at home against Lawrence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hun, they will face off against Mercersburg Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hun is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
