Baseball Recap: Palisades Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Palisades, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Catasauqua Rough Riders get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jackson Butler made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Palisades is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise. Butler was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sean Camp was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Borgeson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Palisades was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Palisades back to even at 7-7. As for Catasauqua, their loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Palisades will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rough Riders: the pair will be back at it again later today.
