Recap: Wilcox Chargers vs. Serra Padres
If the Wilcox Chargers were feeling good off their 52-28 takedown of the Saint Francis Lancers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wilcox was beaten by Serra 63-27 on Friday. Wilcox was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-13.
Tyson Bonilla threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. Maulidi Saleh was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeiman Delos santos rushed for 73 yards on only five carries.
Wilcox's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Serra, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Wilcox will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Los Gatos is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Serra does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
