Recap: Walker Wolverines vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles
The Walker Wolverines's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Paran Christian and snuck past 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Noah Pederson was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Carey, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Walker's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Mount Paran Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Walker will head out on the road to face off against South Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Atlanta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Walker likes a good challenge. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:00 p.m. Business Engineering Science Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
