Baseball Recap: Aurora Gets the Win

Aurora got themselves on the board against Reeds Spring on Monday, but Reeds Spring never followed suit. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Houn Dawgs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won seven in a row.

Parker Blackburn looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Sean Creasey was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Max Holland was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Aurora's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Reeds Spring, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Aurora will host Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reeds Spring, they will venture away from home to challenge East Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
