Basketball Game Preview: Conant Cougars vs. Fremd Vikings

The Conant Cougars will square off against the Fremd Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Conant came up short against Barrington and fell 62-53. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Fremd had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the Saxons. The 47-point effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Fremd, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
