Basketball Recap: Springs Valley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Springs Valley came into Saturday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Evansville Christian Eagles by a score of 50-40 on Saturday.

Springs Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Brown, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Landon Weeks was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Evansville Christian lost, don't look at Hunter Redd. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 17 on his way to 16 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Redd a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ozzie W Bates, who posted nine points.

Springs Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Evansville Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Springs Valley will challenge Lanesville at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Evansville Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-51 victory against Vincennes Rivet on the 10th.
