New Franklin wins going away against Westran

The New Franklin Bulldogs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on Westran with a sharp 54-32 win. New Franklin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Westran still got an impressive performance from Marshall Kitchen, who scored eight points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruze Haynes, who scored seven points.

New Franklin's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Westran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.

New Franklin will be playing at home against the Panthers on Saturday. Salisbury is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Westran, they will square off against the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
