Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Josie Odle and Savannah Smith Lead Eastern to Victory

Eastern won the last time they faced Taylor and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Titans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

Eastern was led to victory by Savannah Smith and Josie Odle. Smith had ten assists and six aces, while Odle had seven assists and three aces. That's the most aces Odle has posted over her last five matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Eastern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 11 consecutive contests.

Eastern's record is now 12-5. As for Taylor, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
