Baseball Recap: Suncoast Has No Trouble Against Port St. Lucie

Suncoast not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Port St. Lucie Jaguars. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jason Giamboi looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those hits marked the first that he allowed this season.

On the hitting side, Joshua Burnston was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Arjune, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Suncoast's record now sits at 13-9. As for Port St. Lucie, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suncoast will head out to take on Forest Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port St. Lucie, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Port St. Lucie Jaguars face off against Heritage Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
