Baseball Recap: Kinsley Find Success

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Kinsley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Skyline Thunderbirds 13-12. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Woodrow Lancaster made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Kinsley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 0-3 otherwise. Lancaster was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joshua Stuckey, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game.

Kinsley's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
