Basketball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the East St. John Wildcats and fell 73-10. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Wildcats are ranked 76th).

Independence's record now sits at 9-11. As for East St. John, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Independence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-22 defeat against Loranger on the 4th. East St. John has also already played their next contest, a 50-42 loss against Thibodaux on the 4th.
