The Riverside-Durham Pirates will venture away from home to take on the South Garner Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside-Durham will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

While Riverside-Durham didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Carrboro 68-34. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Riverside-Durham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Darryn Johnson out in front who shot 78% from the field on his way to 19 points and four steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Elijah Taylor was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Riverside-Durham was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, South Garner came up short against Heritage on Tuesday and fell 66-53.

Riverside-Durham's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for South Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
