Basketball Recap: Ki?Andrey Thomas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Notre Dame Academy over Lakeside

If Notre Dame Academy was riding high fresh off their 86-40 takedown of Praise Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Vikings. The Irish Wolfhounds' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Notre Dame Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ki?Andrey Thomas, who posted 14 points and three steals. Thomas has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyon Graham, who had nine points and five rebounds.

Lakeside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sterling Pritchett out in front who earned 13 points. Steven Pritchett Jr was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Lakeside, they moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Notre Dame Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-54 loss against Southwest Atlanta Christian on the 20th. Lakeside has also already played their next game (against Arabia Mountain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
